Science by Doing continues to engage and collaborate with educators, science education academics, and scientists across Australia and internationally, to develop Australian Curriculum aligned educative curriculum materials that are grounded in research and contemporary practices.
We’ve always undertaken to provide teachers with curriculum materials that are built on knowledge of how students learn, have relevance to students’ everyday world and implemented using teaching and learning strategies that involve students in active inquiry. This is unchanged. New materials will incorporate new research-based contemporary practices with a greater emphasis on real world Australian science contexts, data and scientists.
We will invite educators to participate in developing, trialling and evaluating new resources. These new resources will provide teachers with greater flexibility to be adapted for students and contexts and will be accompanied by professional learning and support.
